Keegan Brown of Colony High School received his Eagle Scout at a ceremony Thursday at Meier Lake Conference Center.
He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 368, sponsored by Sacred Heart Church in Wasilla.
His Eagle project is a “Walk of Reflection” that has benches and places to reflect on the passing of family members in Sacred Heart cemetery.
Keegan and his fellow Scouts and friends spent more than 120 hours and used 12 yards of gravel to build the 93-foot path with boulders that mark one edge of the boundary. The path starts at the parking lot and winds around several trees and follows the contour of the land. The path ends at a flower garden that was weeded and cleaned up prior to the path’s construction.
