Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Bruce Chandler of Palmer passed away Aug. 18, 2002, in Broken Arrow, Okla. Mr. Chandler was born Dec. 22, 1948, in Glendale, Calif. He and his children were on a family cross country road trip visiting family and friends at the time of his death.
In the late evening of Aug. 17 Mr. Chandler decided he would take a midnight ride on his Harley Davidson. Shortly after midnight his body was found kneeling next to his motorcycle. The following day it was determined that he had died of Atherosclerosis, a cardiovascular disease.
His family said, "Bruce, for the most part, lived the good life with big boy toys, fast lanes, family and friends."
He is survived by his children Renee, Ryan, Bruce II, Britne and adopted son John; siblings Greg, Marbeth, John, Patricia and stepfather H. (Bud) Clark; and survived in memory by a countless number of family and friends.
Services were held at Kehl's Palmer Mortuary in Palmer on Aug. 31 at 2 p.m. A celebration of his life was held in Wasilla after the burial service.
