ANCHORAGE — The Anchorage Bucs used an early surge to post a big win over the Mat-Su Miners at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage Saturday evening.
The Bucs scored a combined 10 runs during the first three innings during the 12-3 win over the Miners. Six of Anchorage’s runs came in the bottom of the third.
Cameron Newell and Josh Myers each hit solo home runs to lead the Miners. Dayne Wunderlich and Cameron Frost each finished with a pair of hits in the loss.
Mat-Su returns to Anchorage to face the Glacier Pilots Sunday at 7 p.m. at Mulcahy.
