PALMER — The Anchorage Bucs have forced a decisive game in the Alaska Baseball League best-of-3 semifinal series. Anchorage used a three-run third to score a 4-1 win over the Mat-Su Miners Saturday evening at Hermon Brothers Field in Palmer.

The Miners grabbed the early lead in the series with a 5-4 walk-off win Friday. Now the rivals will meet in the rubber match Sunday at 4 p.m. at Hermon Brothers. The winner will play in the ABL’s Top of the World Championship series.

Four Anchorage pitchers combined to allow only two hits in the win. Starter Mitchell Scott survived seven walks to record the victory on the mound.

Miners shortstop David Bermudez collected both of Mat-Su’s hits. Nick Cirelli scored the lone run on a Ricky Nunez sacrifice fly.
