The Palmer Seventh-day Adventist Church is buzzing with excitement this year, as a Bug Safari is planned for children of the church.
"On this adventure, kids won't find any boring reminders of tedious schoolwork. Our Bug Safari program will provide fun and memorable Bible-learning activities for kids of all ages," said Pastor Neil Biloff.
The Bug Safari program begins June 17 and continues through June 21. Students will meet at the Palmer Seventh-day Adventist Church on Inner Springer Loop each day from 9 a.m. to noon.
All children ages four through 12 are invited to attend the Bug Safari at the Palmer Seventh-day Adventist Church.
"Bug Safari is an exciting way for kids to catch the buzz about God's love," said student pastor Michael Messervy. "We'll be studying David in the Bible and learning about some of the Psalms he wrote.
"Plus, kids will join nearly a million children in North America and take part in a hands-on mission project that will reach needy children in Eastern Europe," Messervy said.
Each day, kids will sing songs, play teamwork-building games, eat treats from the "Picnic Place" and create Bible crafts they can take home and play with.
At the end of each day, students will participate in a "Firefly Finale" which gets everyone involved in what they learned.
