On behalf of the president of the Wasilla Sunrise Rotary Club, Jason Marvel, club president, and the 57 women and men of the club, we are so very pleased to recognize Disheau as our Educator of the Year.
For the past five years, Dishneau has provided extraordinary help to the students of Burchell. We further wish to thank her for all her efforts to make our interpersonal connections to so many students. Her mask art project is a remarkable tool for the students to express themselves.
“We are so pleased with the outstanding relationship Rotary has at Burchell High School. We are also appreciative of the hard work of Ms. Dishneau, both in and out of the classroom. Thanks for being such an awesome teacher at BHS! ” Marvel said. “The relationship starts with the positive work of teachers like Ms. Dishneau. Rotarians are so very appreciative of the opportunity to make a better community and better world, just like Ms. Dishneau is doing at the high school. The women and men of the Wasilla Sunrise Rotary Club continue to invest in the high school kids with Interact, the international youth exchange program, four way test speech contest, an ethical code of conduct, and lastly the Rotary youth leadership award.”
Dishneau will be presented a plaque during next spring’s Mat-Su Borough School Board awards ceremony.
