WASILLA — Juice Box Alaska has been busy since day one, according to owner Amber Thompson.

“It’s all based on health and wellness,” Thompson said. “Everything is customizable for people who have allergies.”

Thompson said that she recently rebranded Juice Box Alaska from her former business Juice Junkies, moving her operation from Wasilla to Palmer. She said that her new Palmer location opened in October, located off the Palmer-Wasilla Highway, just outside the downtown area.

“It’s a really great location,” Thompson said. “It’s been so good… I succeeded in everything I set for myself so far. I could not ask for a better outcome.”

Thompson said they sold out twice during their first day. She said it’s been steady ever since, and the feedback so far has been very positive. She noted that there’s even been some carry over customers from her old business.

“I’ve had a really good outpour from Palmer just by word of mouth. It’s been really great,”

This is Thompson’s first time running a small business. She said it all stems from her own journey of weight loss that was made possible in large part by her decision to commit to healthy juices and shakes as a staple of her new and improved diet. She said that she lost 65 pounds over the course of 4-and-a-half months.

“An absolute game changer,” Thompson said.

Thompson said her menu has been certified by licensed nutritionists from Los Angeles.

“I wanted to make sure i was selling a product that what it exactly what it said it would do,” Thompson said. “I just got really involved with the process because this is my baby… I make the juice as enjoyable as I can.”

Thompson said that her favorite part of running this particular business was the fact that she can help other people achieve their health goals.

“Being able to see my clients reap the same benefits as I have... It’s just good to see the community benefit and see it happening… I have a lot of clients that juice every single week. It just keeps me going,” Thompson said.

Juice Box Alaska is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s located at 11709 East Palmer-Wasilla Highway in Palmer. For more information, call 907-802-8256.
