Butte astrophotographer Jim Egger captured this image of the moon starting to leave the shadow during the lunar eclipse April 15 through a 12.5-inch reflector scope with a Canon 20 Da set to ISO 800 with exposures of about 1-1/2 to 2 seconds. The eclipse was the first in a lunar eclipse tetrad — a series of four consecutive total eclipses — occurring on Oct. 8, April 4, 2015, and Sept. 28 2015.
