PALMER — Two days removed from breaking a 20-year-old world record for the heaviest cabbage, Steve Hubacek topped himself.
Hubacek, a dentist from Wasilla, won Friday’s annual Giant Cabbage Weigh-Off at the Alaska State Fair with a whopping 127-pound vegetable. On Wednesday, Hubacek set a new record with a 125.9-pound cabbage.
