To the editor:
As I was reading the voter information pamphlet from the Mat-Su Borough, I noticed that one of the candidates for School Board Seat B has not even used the current public school system that she wants to help supervise.
Heather Fussell writes that she and her husband chose to “home educate” her children, which is absolutely fine. I’m a public school teacher and support a wide variety of ways to educate our children as a personal choice.
However, it doesn’t make any sense to me for a home-school parent to become an administrator for a public school system. Does this seem like a problem to anyone else?
