Capitol Speedway crowns stocks champion

W ILLOW — Don Brotzman raced to the title of the 100-lap stock event sponsored by Gorilla Fireworks at Capitol Speedway in Willow on Saturday.

Brotzman beat Linden Fyfe to earn the crown. Dean Nelson was third, and Donnie Brotzman and John Clemmons rounded out the top 5.

Capitol Speedway also hosted the demolition derby on its dirt oval. Jason Doyal won the event, while Donnie White was second.

Joe Tucker won a handful of races in the hobby stock class over the weekend. On Saturday, Tucker won the trophy dash. The following afternoon, Tucker finished first in the first heat and main event.

James White and Guy Hamilton were winners in the stock class on Sunday.
