PALMER — When Palmer senior Ivan Good wasn’t scoring the goal, he was probably helping set it up.
The Palmer captain collected a goal and five assists to lead the Moose to an 8-4 North Star Conference win over the Homer Mariners Saturday at the MTA Events Center in Palmer.
Jacob Inukai recorded a hat trick to help Palmer get its win and cap regular season NSC play with a 6-3-1 mark. Brennan Harrison added a pair of goals for Palmer, and Dalton Buness and Miles George also scored for Palmer.
Homer took an early 1-0 lead, but Good set up a pair of Inukai goals during a four-minute span, and Palmer took a 2-1 advantage midway through the first.
Good was involved on each of Palmer’s four second-period goals. He notched a pair of assists as Palmer scored twice during a 55-second span early in the middle frame. He scored at the 8:09 mark to give Palmer a 6-2 lead.
The Moose outshot Homer 46-30, and Ashton Good recorded 26 saves in the Palmer net.
