To the editor:
I will be filing for the position of mayor of Wasilla at some point in time when the filing period is opened. I am a lifelong resident of Alaska, went to Wasilla School and graduated, went to college at Washington State and Southern Oregon College, and spent a year at Willamette University School of Law. I have a degree from Southern Oregon College.
I have been a real estate broker in the Wasilla area for around 30 years. I served on Wasilla City Council around 1976 for two years, and for four years from 1988-94. I was instrumental in organizing local improvement districts for natural gas and paving in the entire city, and we accomplished around 80 percent of it. I am a U.S. Army veteran.
I wrote a book, “Glimpse of Life in Alaska,” telling of Alaska like it really was, available in some local bookstores, in full color paperback with perfect binding.
