Cartoon maligns Israel

To the editor:

In the Jan. 13 paper there is a supposedly political cartoon titled, “The World According To Chuck.” The disclaimer below it states, “The opinions expressed in his cartoons are not necessarily those of the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, or its staff or parent company Wick Communications Co.” Whether his opinion is yours or not there are some things that are not acceptable in your newspaper or any other one. One of those things is a plainly anti-Semite cartoon. Israel does not target civilians. They go out of their way to avoid civilians, and especially children. The Palestinians use children and other civilians for shields for their fighters and their weapons and explosives and even are not above blowing their own people up if they can make it look like Israel did it and the world will believe they did. To put this kind of cartoon in your paper is unworthy of your publication. We will not continue to support your publication if something is not done about this. We can not in good conscience pay for Israel to be maligned in this manner.
