The Alaska Goldwings Road Riders Association AK-M chapter's annual motorcycle show in the Cottonwood Creek Mall last weekend was a success, bringing in bike enthusiasts from around the area.

Joe Kaiser's diesel bike was deemed best in show, and Tuesday, he accepted a large trophy from Dave Chatterton, from the Alaska Goldwings Road Riders Association AK-M chapter.

"We do the show every year at the Cottonwood Creek Mall," Chatterton said. "This bike is probably the most unique custom bike we've seen."

The show features customs, wings and a host of other motorcycles, from Harleys to home-built models.

"There are lot of good-looking motorcycles out there. Dave has a Harley trike," said Bill Gartrell, another Goldwings member who was also on hand to present the trophy to Kaiser.

Those who missed the opportunity to see the custom diesel chopper will have another opportunity next weekend. From April 29 through May 1, the Valley Cruzers are presenting a vehicle show at the Coach MacDonald Arena in Eagle River.

There will be motorcycles, custom trucks and cars and a wide range of other unique vehicles on display.

"It'll definitely be there," Kaiser said of his diesel chopper.
