To the editor:
Palmer annually celebrates pride in our town. This is a community event and will happen on Friday.
It’s also a time to reflect on the past year of achievements like our water mains replaced, our main street repaved and open to traffic and business, buildings repainted, paths paved and more paved parking at the Palmer Depot. Friday Flings are also a fun place to be.
So, on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., we will have a free picnic at the Palmer Depot with hot dogs, lemonade, Alaska Grown vegetables, Matanuska Creamery cheese curds, cookies and the mayor’s awards.
Join us in celebrating Palmer pride. This event is free because of the generosity of our local merchants — one more reason to shop local.
