PALMER — A rush-hour rear-end accident Friday turned into a five-car pileup.
According to an Alaska State Trooper report, the crash happened at 5:34 p.m. on Palmer-Wasilla Highway near Equestrian Street.
Jordan Brown, 19, driving a 1991 Saab, rear-ended a 2006 Toyota that Barry Wise, 58, was driving. The crash pushed the Toyota into a 1998 Plymouth driven by Desiree Matson, 38, who in turn hit a 1998 Honda driven by Ronald Monica, 46, who then hit a 1997 Chevrolet driven by Jeffery Waller.
Troopers say several people were injured, none seriously, and that some were hospitalized at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
