Former Palmer resident, Charles Ferguson Jr., died at his home in Lead Hill, Ark. on Feb. 19, after a lengthy illness with multiple myeloma.
Mr. Ferguson moved to the Mat-Su Valley in 1970 where he resided until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of the Carpenters' and Joiners' Union Local 1281 and worked throughout Alaska on many different construction projects. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gloria Ferguson, his son Hugh Ferguson of Lead Hill, his son and daughter-in-law Wesley and Wanda Ferguson of Whitehall, Ark., his daughter and son-in-law Ava and Tim Chapman of Palmer, his granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Justine and Christian Monette of Ottawa, Ontario, and his granddaughter and grandson of Whitehall, Ark., Frances Marie and Hugh Charles Ferguson.
