CHARLOTTE MARIE RENAUD

Wasilla resident Ms. Charlotte Marie Renaud, 65, died Nov. 4, 2003, at Valley Hospital in Palmer.

Memorial services were held Monday, at 1 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Jim Eller officiated. Inurnment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery at a later time.

Ms. Renaud was born Dec. 5, 1937, in Picher, Okla.

She received a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Columbia University. She was also a certified master gardener and a certified nutritionist.

Ms. Renaud became a resident of Alaska in 1958, living in Anchorage before moving to Wasilla in 1999.

She worked as an engineer for the Alaska Bureau of Land Management until her retirement in 1999. She had worked for the University of Alaska Fairbanks cooperative services in Anchorage as a nutritionist for five years and had worked with the Youth Corps on Fort Richardson and taught nutrition classes there for three years.

Her special interests included gardening, cooking, canning, dogs and birds.

Her family wrote, "Charlotte's kind heart, generosity and willingness to always lend a hand were appreciated by both family and friends. Charlotte is and will be forever missed but not far from our hearts."

Her mother, Violet Marie Todd, and her daughter, Ami Marie Renaud, preceded Ms. Renaud in death.

She is survived by her longtime companion Patrick Charles Cochran; son and daughter-in-law Rick and Carol Renaud; father and step-mother Lincoln and Claurice Todd; sister Jaunice Biederman; brother Douglas Todd; granddaughter Elizabeth Cochran and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
