Chickaloon Village Traditional Council is hosting two public meetings

Chickaloon Village Traditional Council is hosting two public meetings Oct. 3 and Oct. 4 to gather community input on the Recreation and Trails Plan Working Draft and the Cultural Ecotourism Business Development Guide Working Draft.

• The trails plan meeting is Oct. 3 at Glacier View School, Mile 104, Glenn Hwy., Classroom No. 5. The Recreation and Trails Plan assessment team will use public input to identify the community’s prevailing needs, interest, values and priorities related to recreation sites, trailheads and trails for the future.

• The cultural ecotourism meeting is Oct. 4 at Chickadee House, Mile 61.5, Glenn Highway, in Sutton. Cultural Ecotourism Business Development Guide will be used as a tool to gain greater insight and partnership opportunities with local businesses to build upon tourism potential and enhance the local economy by creating sustainable tourism-related jobs.
