BIG LAKE — A toddler fell off a dock and drowned Sunday, Alaska State Troopers reported today.
According to a trooper press statement, the incident was reported at 3:06 p.m. Troopers say 18-month-old Liam Lloyd wasn’t wearing a life jacket when he fell off the dock.
A trooper and two Coast Guardsmen happened to be in the area performing boating safety checks. They attempted CPR until medics arrived. The boy was flown to Providence Alaska Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
