ANCHORAGE — A Wasilla man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on child pornography charges stemming from an FBI investigation.
According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s office, Daniel Clinton Piaskowski, 33, was arrested Friday on a federal warrant. His indictment was officially filed Feb. 20. According to the indictment, Piaskowski advertised seeking to “receive, exchange, display and distribute visual depictions, the production of which involved the use of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.”
He also distributed child pornography, according to the indictment.
Piaskowski’s records in state court date back as far as 2006, but are all for minor things like traffic violations.
Federal prosecutors say the FBI investigation that led to the arrest is ongoing.
“The FBI is seeking to determine if Piaskowski had inappropriate contact with children. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the FBI’s Anchorage Field Office at (907) 276-4441,” the release states.
