Chong Sun “Harmony” Gilpin

On the evening of August 5th, 2021, Chong Sun Harmony Gilpin passed away surrounded by friends and family. She was 75 years old and had overcome adversity many times. She came to this country with no education — barely able to speak English, but this did not stop her. She was strong willed, courageous, determined, compassionate and most importantly a loving person. She loved her family dearly and it showed clearly as they packed up her apartment full of childhood mementos and pictures. She was passionate about both puzzles and Korean soap operas. It was also clear that Harmony secretly enjoyed violent martial arts movies and crime dramas as well. She is survived by her 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Harmony will be missed dearly and loved always.
