Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Christine Joyce Pegg, 26, lost her life in an unfortunate accident Oct. 5, 2005, near her home in Glacier View.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, at Glacier View Bible Church, Mile 98.5 Glenn Hwy.
Ms. Pegg was born Jan. 10, 1979 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She moved to Anchorage with her family in August 1984. The family moved to Glacier View in September 1986. She enjoyed making lifelong friends, volleyball and choir in high school at Glacier View.
Her family wrote, ”Christine was a dedicated chef in the Valley, supporting her two boys, and loved all people and roses. She always had a smile on her face when she saw her boys and loved them beyond words. She cherished spending time with her family and friends. She lived with her soul mate of three years and sons near her parents and brother at the time of her passing. She will be eternally missed.“
She is survived by her parents, Thomas and Connie Pegg, both of Glacier View; brother, Mikeal Pegg, and Cabbage Patch sister and brother, Shelly and Monte Shorten, all of Palmer; two sons, Sheridan Thomas Pegg and Jessy Michael James Scott; soul mate, Michael Scott, all of Glacier View; grandparents, Fred and Nancy Tegtmeier of Kingston, Okla.; grandmother, Phyllis Pegg of Milan, Ill.; Cindy and Mike Fleming; cousins, Cody Fleming and Amber and Jerry Craine, all of Stillwater, Okla., Bill Daugherty of Vinita, Okla., Richard and Dolores Humphrey; Cassie and Christopher Humphrey, all of Aurora, Ill.; Kathy and Wayne Rowe of Taylor Ridge, Ill., Tim Pegg, Gary and Linda Pegg, all of Missouri., Bobby and Lori Pegg, and Terry Pegg, all of Milan, Ill.; great-aunt, Donna of Missouri; Jack and Karen Ide of Andalusia, Ill., and Dawn and Mark Warren of Indian.
Ms. Pegg was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joyce Tegtmeier, Carl Humphrey, Elra Pegg, and great- grandparents Connolly.
