The Christmas holiday is often time taken up with exchanging presents, Christmas trees and family get-togethers. And while that’s fun and exciting, take the time to reflect on this holiday season as the birth of Jesus Christ. His birth shows the love of the father for all mankind. Saving Grace is there for everyone that believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 and 10, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Christmas is a day we celebrate. It is a day to remember of God’s great love for us, more than just a baby born in a manger over 2,000 years ago. Jesus is the son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a Virgin, Mary; Jesus’ walk on earth was prophesied many years before. Just like a great gift under the Christmas tree, why would anybody want to give it up? God made each one of us with a free will, he won’t make people believe, everyone has a choice.
Christmas is a very special time of the year, the very idea of Christmas gets people excited, especially young people. So take this time of the year to reflect on the most important gift ever given, eternal life through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Christmas is the time of year to show your love for fellow man, give to those in need, as the word of God says, it is better to give than to receive. Acts 20:35, “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.” So as we celebrate this time of year, getting together with family, make the celebration of the birth of the Lord, Jesus Christ, number one.
Continue to be thankful for this day of Celebration for the birth of Jesus Christ, a gift from God showing his great love for all mankind.
