Church celebrates anniversary with service

Trinity Lutheran Church, 10355 Palmer Wasilla Hwy., joins the 4 million members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in celebrating its 25th anniversary Sept. 8.

In celebration, the church has planned a day of service Sept. 8 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Volunteers will work in the Trinity Lutheran Church Community Garden pulling weeds, filling raised beds with soil, making walkways and putting up a moose fence.

A press release announcing the anniversary says the service day is rooted in the belief that congregants are called to put their faith into action by engaging in service activity in their neighborhood, surrounding community or designated area.

For more information about the work day, contact Pastor Diane M. Krauszer at 745-0726.
