CLARK E. WEBER

Clark Erwin Weber, 66, died Nov. 27, 2004, with his family by his side at his home in Big Lake.

Public visitation will be held at 11 a.m. today at Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at Fort Richardson National Cemetery.

Mr. Weber was born Dec. 23, 1937, in Los Angeles. He was a veteran who served his country in the U.S. Air Force for six years as an aircraft mechanic.

His travels included flights to Africa, Europe, Greenland and Germany. Mr. Weber served in the Bay of Pigs and was honorably discharged after his service. After Mr. Weber's discharge, he pursued a career as a journeyman carpenter.

He met his future wife in Costa Mesa, Calif.; Clark and Patricia Weber married in Carpentersville, Ill., on Feb. 20, 1971.

Mr. Weber decided to change careers and became a certified master auto mechanic.

He relocated his family to Alaska in September 1982. He has been a resident of Big Lake for the last 12 years.

His family wrote, "His greatest joys were his family, and especially his grandchildren, upon whom he imparted many hugs. Dad was a person of infinite patience and a great many abilities, who would assist anyone in need."

Clark Weber was preceded in death by his father, Leo J. Weber; mother, Dolly Weber; son, Richard Erwin Weber, and brother, Leo Joseph Weber.

Mr. Weber is survived by his wife, Patricia Weber; sister, Wilda Hambek, and brother-in-law, Edward Hambek; children, Cindi Weber, Cheryl and Todd Stephens, Nicholas Guadagnoli, Anita Virden, Kenneth and Amanda Weber, Tammy and Jeffrey Crombie and Michael Flores and grandchildren, Jamie, Megan, Elice, Gabby, T.J., David, Jacob, Stephanie, Shayanna, Cody and Danyelle.

Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
