Matt Smith scans some of the more than 10,000 Movie Gallery Blu-ray and DVD titles that will be moved to the new Home Town Video store opening in August at 808 S. Baile y St. in Palmer. Movie Gallery, located on Evergreen Avenue, will close its doors for good Saturday. In April, Movie Gallery Inc., based in Wilsonville, Ore., filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and announced it would be closing and liquidating all of its stores. Smith, who worked at Movie Gallery and is now co-manager of the new store, said Home Town Video will offer all the newest releases, a good selection of older titles and a large selection of video games. Unlike Movie Gallery, Home Town Video is locally owned, Smith said.
