Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Clydella Mae Scott, 68, died Dec. 9 at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage.
No services are planned at this time. There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
Mrs. Scott was born April 5, 1934, in California. She moved to Alaska in 1972, residing in Palmer.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed family history. She spent many years working on her genealogy.
Her family said, "She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends loved her cooking and family get-togethers."
Mrs. Scott is survived by her daughters Sheryl Goemmer of Arkansas, Linda and Bernie Lopez of California, Karen and Joe Lyle of Anchorage; and her sons Aaron Scott of Palmer, Jerry Vonschott of Hawaii, Warren Scott of Palmer and Armond and Janell Scott of California. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home.
