On Aug. 17, enrollment at Matanuska-Susitna College reached a record 2,000 students for the fall semester.
Amy Seamans, admissions representative for the college, said, “Oh, gosh, it’s so amazing. It reflects the growing change in our community and student body. It’s great to have so many students choosing our school.”
College Director Talis Colberg said he immediately forwarded a notice of the milestone to former director Glenn Massay, who still keeps close track of important developments at the school.
“I look forward to Dr. Massay’s response,” Colberg said. “He has been waiting for this moment for a long time. In January of 1958, this college offered 10 classes.
