HOMER – The Colony Knights earned a key Southcentral Conference sweep over host Homer in Homer Friday and Saturday.

Logan Sanders pitched a complete game Saturday to lead Colony to a 5-2 win over the Mariners. Sanders scattered three hits and two earned runs over seven innings. He fanned six and walked five.

Sanders was also 1 of 4 at the plate, with a run scored.

Josh Boyer and Dalton McHughill led the Knights with two hits each. Matt Palmer drove in two runs, and McHughill scored twice.

Ben Ross led Colony at the plate and on the mound Friday during a 10-7 win over Homer. Ross pitched five innings to earn the win, fanning four and walking none. He was also 2 of 5 at the plate, with a run and an RBI.

Colony finished with 11 hits in the win. Ross, Sanders, Boyer and Austin Shaw all had two hits.

Eagles get by Knights

ANCHORAGE — Powered by a 13-hit effort, the West Anchorage Eagles scored a 12-7 nonconference win over the Colony Knights at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage.

The Knights outlasted the Wolfpack 10-9 Thursday, behind an 11-strikeout performance from pitcher Mackenzie Everrett at Alcantra Fields in Wasilla.
