WASILLA — In a key early-season matchup, Colony blanked Kodiak 12-0 at the Wasilla Senior Field Saturday evening.
Senior Jonathon Boyer pitched a two-hit complete game shutout to lead the Knights. Boyer fanned 11 hitters and did not walk a batter. At the plate, Boyer was 2 for 3 with two RBI and four runs scored.
Boyer, Ben Ross and Jacob Butcher all hit home runs in the victory. Butcher also tripled for the second straight game. Butcher finished 2 for 4 with two runs and 4 RBI. Ross was 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBI.
