PALMER — Colony scored a pair of late goals to get past Dimond Friday at Colony High School.
Austin Richardson and Ben Sande each scored during the final five minutes of play to lead Colony to the 2-0 nonconference win over the Lynx. Richardson ripped a shot from about 30 yards out during the 75th minute to break a scoreless tie.
During the final moments of the contest, Trevor Murray collected the ball at midfield, dribbled up the field, eluding several defenders, and passed the ball to Ben Sande, who put a shot into the back of the net.
Sande has a goal in every game this season for Colony (4-0-1).
Colony’s match against North Pole, slated for Saturday, was cancelled due to a scheduling conflict.
