PALMER — The Colony Knights cruised to a 73-36 nonconference win over the East Anchorage Thunderbirds at Colony High School on Wednesday.
After taking a 27-20 lead into the intermission, the Knights outscored East 46-16 in the final two quarters.
Senior Grant Niver scored a game-high 22 for Colony. Senior Matt Stearman posted 14 for CHS, while seniors Jaron Murphy (13) and Cody Huggins (11) also hit double digits.
Colony returns to its Northern Lights Conference schedule and hosts Skyview at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Cougars slip by Warriors
ANCHORAGE — The Wasilla Warriors suffered a 50-48 nonconference loss to the Service Cougars at Service High School on Monday.
The Cougars’ Adrianna Aukusitino hit the game-winning three pointer in the final seconds of regulation to give the Cougars the win.
Aukusitino scored a team-high 16 points for SHS, while Wasilla junior Jenna Johnson posted a game-high 19 for the Warriors.
Sophomore Carli Naczi added 13 for Wasilla.
Wasilla is slated to host Juneau-Douglas in a rematch of the 2007 4A state title game on Friday at 7 p.m.
