PALMER — The Lathrop boys used a quick start to prevent Colony from sweeping a three-game weekend series against Interior teams.
After scoring wins over West Valley and North Pole of the Mid-Alaska Conference, Colony suffered a 56-41 to Lathrop at Colony High Saturday afternoon.
Lathrop jumped out to a 30-17 halftime lead in the win. Tyreke Jennis and Kyle Carlson each had 16 points for Lathrop.
Damien Fulp hit a trio of three-pointers and led Colony with 15 points. Antonio Bush and Bailey West added eight each.
Graham Dinkel led Colony to a lopsided win over North Pole on Friday. Dinkel poured in 22 points in the 69-41 win over the Pats. Fulp added 16 and West chipped in 10.
With a quick start from behind the arc, Colony beat West Valley 71-58 on Thursday.
West and Fulp combined for five first-quarter three-pointers as Colony raced to an early 25-14 lead. West finished with a game-high four three-pointers in the win, and scored 14 points. Colony hit 10 shots from behind the arc in the game.
Fulp poured in a game-high 20. He was 7 of 10 from the free throw line.
West Valley trailed 54-25 through three quarters. The Wolfpack managed nearly half their points in the final quarter.

Colony girls split with Lathrop, West Valley
PALMER — Colony used a 16-point second quarter to build a double-digit lead and race to a 53-23 win over Lathrop at Colony High on Saturday.
Jennifer Solano and Faith Farris combined for 11 of Colony’s 16 second-quarter points. Solano scored six of her game-high 17 in the second, and Farris added five during the quarter. Farris finished with a dozen points in the win. Izzy Tweed chipped in 11.
West Valley edged Colony 33-32 on Friday. Tweed scored half her team’s points, hitting four three-pointers en route to a 16-point effort.
Solano added eight.
