The Colony Knights scored a pair of top seven finishes in the boys and girls team standings during the ASAA/First National Bank State Nordic Ski Championships at Kincaid Park in Anchorage.
The Colony boys finished fourth and the girls were seventh. Colony swept the Region III team titles earlier this month.
Colony’s Jayden Rice led all Valley athletes in the skimeister standings, with a 17th-place finish in the boys class. Rice finished with a total time of 51 minutes, 39 seconds. His time was nine seconds faster than teammate Coby Marvin, who was 18th overall. Clayton Steer (22nd), Weston Sensabaugh (24th) and Tobias Buchanan (26th) also finished in the top 30 for the Knights.
Anna Bell finished 28th overall to lead the Colony girls. Bell’s total time of 44:59 was 14 seconds faster than teammate Lucy Shea, who finished 29th.
Palmer was 11th in the boys stands and 12th in the girls standings.
London Lee placed 39th to lead the Palmer boys. Josie Peace led the Palmer girls at 36th.
