Colony boys sit seventh in state championship

KINCAID PARK — Day 2 of the 2015 ASAA/First National Bank State Nordic Skiing Championship brought a few Valley skiers up and a few down, but Colony leads the charge with the boys’ team in seventh and the girls’ in 10th out of 16 full teams.

Dawson and Tracen Knopp came in first in the 10-kilometer freestyle for the Knights, taking 17th and 18th place overall, respectively.

Greta Jenkins, the first lady Knight and Valley skier in, finished the 7.5-kilometer freestyle in 21:43, placing 32nd.
