Colony Days this year is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., today through Sunday in downtown Palmer.
The parade is at 11 a.m., Saturday in downtown Palmer. The family oriented fun also includes bed races, a car rally, a parade, tractor display and tractor pull, Santa and his reindeer, giant inflatable games for kids, a mountain bike race, the first ever local ladybug release party, a petting zoo and a smoked salmon contest.

Mat-Su Concert Band will perform Saturday following the Colony Days parade at 12:30 p.m. in the large pavilion across the street from the Palmer Visitor Center in downtown Palmer.
Under the direction of Gleo Huyck, the band welcomes new players are throughout the year and no audition is necessary.
