Colony earns weekend sweep of nonconference foes

PALMER — Senior Scott Herman exploded for 33 points to lead Colony to a 5-63 nonconference victory over the Service Cougars at Colony High School on Saturday.

Six of Herman’s eight shots from the floor came from beyond the arc. The senior also was a perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line.

Senior John Palmer added 13 in the win.

Adam Klie led Service with 27, while Amu Akusitino added 16.

Malemutes

PALMER — Senior Scott Herman scored 10 of his game-high 17 points during a Colony 26-point third quarter and led the Knights to a 59-28 nonconference win over the Lathrop Malemutes at Colony High School on Friday.

Herman hit a pair of shots from beyond the arc during the third, and the Knights held the Malemutes to just three field goals during the period. Senior John Palmer addded 14 points in the win.

Keith Mays led the Malemutes with seven.
