Colony fourth in Anchorage tourney; Warriors beat West Valley

The Colony Knights and Palmer Moose finished tied for fifth place in the Dimond/Service Volleyball Tournament Saturday in Anchorage.

Colony beat Palmer 2-1 (15-25, 25-18, 15-13) in the first round of the gold bracket. The Knights followed with a 2-0 loss to eventual champion South. In elimination action, Palmer beat Lathrop 2-0 (25-18, 25-22) and suffered a 2-0 loss to Kenai. Service beat Colony 2-0 (25-20, 25-16) in the elimination rounds.

In other action, Wasilla beat West Valley 3-0 in Wasilla on Thursday.
