WASILLA — The Colony Knights girls cross-country running squad continues to run among the top teams in the state.
After winning the Colony Invitational and finishing second in the Tsalteshi Invitational during the first two weeks of the season, Colony posted a third-place finish in the girls’ team standings of the Bartlett state preview meet at Bartlett High School Saturday.
The Knights finished with 107 total points in the standings, finishing behind first-place Chugiak (64) and West (92).
Colony placed four runners in the top 30 of the girls’ individual standings. Jill Bowker led the Knights with a time of 19:28, and a sixth-place finish. Bowker improved her time for the third straight week, and shaved about six seconds off her sixth-place mark of 19:34 at the Tsalteshi Invite.
