The Colony Knights girls and boys basketball games swept a total of four Northern Lights Conference games Friday and Saturday at Colony High School.
The Colony girls completed their weekend sweep with a 76-25 win over the Stars in Saturday. The Knights outscored SoHi 23-8 in the second and 29-7 in the third quarter. Reigning 4A girls player of the year scored a game-high 20 points for the Knights. Fellow senior Tonya Karpow added 17 points.
The Knights ran past Soldotna 74-27 the night before. Clark led Colony with 19. Karpow had 16, and Ally Shelley finished with 13. Colony opened the game on an 18-5 run.
The Colony boys beat the Stars 56-45 on Saturday. Charlie Gardner led Colony with 21 points, and was 13 of 14 from the free throw line. Leyton Lockard chipped in 11.
The Knights edged Soldotna 59-54 Friday night. Colony used a 17-10 third-quarter run in the third to help grab the win. Colony led by just two points at halftime. Lockard led Colony with 17. Mylz Mongeau added 14.
