PALMER — The Colony girls and Palmer boys scored swim titles during the Wasilla Quad Sept. 10 at the Palmer Pool.
Camille Dayton earned a pair of wins to help the Knights finish first in the girls’ team standings with 140 total points. Dayton finished first in both the 200-yard individual medley and the 100 backstroke. Sarah Crosley (50 freestyle), Eileen Cyr (1 meter dive), Erika Farring (100 butterfly), Samantha Belliston (500 freestyle) and Madeline Vig (100 backstroke) each won events for the Knights.
Three different Palmer swimmers helped the Moose finish first in the boys’ standings with 107 points. Max Snelders (50 freestyle), Nick Geffken (100 freestyle) and Phoenyx Collier (500 freestyle) each posted wins for Palmer to ehlp the Moose finish a dozen points ahead of runner-up Colony.
Jake Simmons led the Knights with victories in the 100 butterfly and 100 breastroke. Ryan Chastain (200 freestyle) and Tanner Belliston (1 meter dive) also won events for Colony. Koya Barrette led third-place Wasilla with a victory in the 200 individual medley.
Palmer finished second in the girls’ team standings with 122 total points. Gretchen Snelders won a pair of events for Palmer, finishing first in both the 100 and 200 freestyle races. The Wasilla girls were fourth.
