ANCHORAGE — The Colony girls used a 1-0 win over Soldotna Thursday morning to move into the fourth-place game of the ASAA/First National Bank State Soccer Championships.
The Knights will face an opponent that is still to be determined, Saturday at 10 a.m. at Anchorage Football Stadium.
Colony was knocked backward in the state soccer tourney bracket thanks to a 7-3 loss to the Service Cougars during the first round of action Wednesday afternoon.
The Cougars scored four times in the first 20 minutes of the win. Jessica Parker, Chelsea Halstead and Jessica Farrell scored for CHS.
The CHS girls are one of three Valley teams to advance to the state tourney. The Wasilla girls and Colony boys are in action on Thursday. The Warriors face Juneau-Douglas at 4 p.m., and the CHS boys meet Juneau-Douglas at 6 p.m.
