The Colony Knights girls cross-country running team posted a perfect score during the first local meet of the 2022 season.
Colony swept the top six spot en route to winning the Wasilla Trailblazer Invitational Saturday in Wasilla.
Sophomore Ella Hopkins, the lone runner to break 20 minutes in the girls race, won her class with a time of 19 minutes, 56 seconds. Freshman Morgan Ainsworth, senior Shea Alaniva, and sophomores Rachel Danz, Stella Rose and Madison Roberts rounded out the top six for the Knights.
Palmer junior Fischer Adams placed third to lead Valley runners in the boys race. Matthew Rongitsch was fourth for the Colony boys. Stephen Hafen finished eighth to lead the Wasilla boys. Myles Campbell clocked a time of 20:28 to lead Redington, and Jasper Ross had a mark of 20:30 to lead Houston.
Redington’s Mya Campbell was seventh for Redington. Kinley Bruno led Wasilla with a 12th-place finish and Sophie Adams was 18th for Palmer.
