Colony High drama presents “Reckless” at 7 p.m., May 5, 6, and 7. Tickets are $7 for all ages and are available at the door only for general seating.
Written by Craig Lucas, “Reckless” is described as an absurd comedy about regret, guilt and coming to terms with the skeletons in our closets.
The story follows the misadventures of Rachel, who must flee for her life on Christmas Eve after her husband informs her he has hired a hit man. She escapes out a bedroom window and into the snowy night.
Her escapades introduce her to Lloyd Bophtelophti, who has changed his name to avoid alimony payments, and his paraplegic roommate Pooty.
Rachel then wins $100,000 on a TV game show, has an ill-fated reunion with her husband and eventually becomes a therapist herself, treating her own son (who fails to recognize her).
Brian Mead directs the Colony High drama production, which stars identical twins Chrystal and Celena Randolf as Rachel, Derek Youmans as Lloyd and Andi West is Pooty.
