Colony hosting benefit for football coach

Tonight, as the Colony Knights feature their first home game of the season, the team will also host a benefit for The Brian McIntosh Support Fund.

McIntosh, the school’s head football coach, has been diagnosed with an anaplastic astrocytoma grade-three brain tumor.

This community event will have a carnival-like atmosphere with a bounce house, face painting, cotton candy and balloons.

The Knights are playing the West Anchorage Eagles. Junior varsity action starts at 4 p.m. and the varsity squads meet at 7 p.m.

The festivities will continue throughout both football games. The public is welcome to attend.
