Colony junior wins three Borough titles at invite

MAT-SU — Colony junior Matt Jaronik won three events during the Mat-Su Borough Championships track and field meet at Houston and Palmer this week.

On Tuesday, Jaronik eclipsed the 38-foot mark to win the boys’ triple jump. The following afternoon the defending state champion in the 400 won the 400 and 200-meter runs.

Wasilla junior John Knowles also won multiple events. Knowles swept the throwing events.

Wasilla’s Morgan Dampier (200 and 400) and Rachel Hoffman (100 hurdles and 300 hurdles) also won multiple events for the Warriors.
