The Colony High School Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JrROTC) recently took a trip to Denali National Park.

Part of the trip included a stop at the Byers Lake Veterans' Wall of Honor.

The wall is a tribute to the men and women who have served in the military, and who fought for America's freedom.

Tucked in the upper Susitna Valley, north of Trapper Creek and Talkeetna, the Veterans' Wall gets visited by thousands of people every year.

It is one of the most remote veterans' memorials in the country.

Each year, services are held there on Veterans' Day, which is coming up next month, on Nov. 11.
