PALMER — The Colony Knights scored a 49-28 dual win over the Palmer Moose at Palmer High School Thursday.
Terry Jackson sparked the Knights with an early pin in the 120-pound class, and Jordan Nero (126 pounds) Logan Conway (170 pounds) followed with decisions to help Colony win. Nero beat Palmer’s Jesse Sanders 10-6, and Conway outlasted Palmer’s Grayden Powell, winning 11-6.
The Knights were also helped by forfeit wins in five weight classes.
Aaron Molesky (126), Nathan Pempek (138) and Brian Thompson (285) each scored wins by decision for the Moose. Molesky beat Dawson Nash 8-4. Pempek topped Robert Haan 7-2. Thompson capped the night with a 13-4 win over Colony’s Mitchell Daigle in the heavyweight class.
Colony is hosting the Colony Duals, which start today at 4:30 p.m. at CHS. The Colony Invitational is slated to begin Saturday at 9 a.m. Palmer and Wasilla are sending teams to the Colony Invite and also to the John Tobin Invitational in North Pole.
